Performance Parameters: It adopts a 24-bit Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and integrates a programmable gain array (PGA) and a reference voltage source. It can measure a maximum resistance of 3.92kΩ, making it suitable for Pt100 and Pt1000 RTDs. It supports 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire modes. In 2-wire mode, only the excitation on AIN0 is active, set to 250μA; in 3-wire mode, the excitation currents on both AIN0 and AIN4 are active, each set to 100μA; in 4-wire mode, only the excitation on AIN0 is active, set to 250μA.

Functional Features: It has three independent input channels, each of which can receive variable voltage signals and convert them into digital values for transmission to the main processor module. In TMR mode, the control program uses median data; in duplex mode, it uses average values. The module provides two independent sets of 1×20 bipolar multiplexers, which can be reconfigured into a single 1×40 bipolar multiplexer or realize card-to-card expansion. It also has complete and continuous diagnostic functions, and a diagnostic failure of any channel will activate the module’s fault indicator light.

Installation and Usage: A separate external terminal panel (ETP) is required, which has a cable interface with the Tricon backplane. The module is equipped with a mechanical key to ensure correct installation in the Tricon chassis. During use, it is necessary to set parameters such as input signal type and signal range in the programming software according to the type of connected sensor, correctly connect the sensor to the module’s input channel, and then write a program to read the module’s values for processing.
