Memory: It can be configured with 4/8/16/32/64MB of 32-bit DRAM with parity protection, or 4/8/16/32/64/128/256MB of DRAM with ECC (Error Checking and Correction) protection.

ROM Slots: Equipped with four 44-pin PLCC ROM slots (organized into two groups of 32 bits).

SCSI Interface: Includes a SCSI mass storage bus interface with a DMA controller. The SCSI DMA controller uses a FIFO buffer to connect the 8-bit SCSI bus to the 32-bit local bus, enabling efficient data transmission to the local bus in bursts of four longwords.

Remote Status and Control Interface: J3 is a 20-pin connector located behind the front panel of the MVME167. It provides system designers with the flexibility to access key indicator lights and reset functions, facilitating the construction of a reset/LED panel that can be placed away from the MVME167.

Cooling Requirements: The device can operate reliably with forced air cooling using a 100cfm axial fan within an inlet air temperature range of 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F).

Signal Levels: The EIA-232-D signal high level is +3 to +15 volts, and the low level is -3 to -15 volts. Parallel connection of devices is not allowed, as it may generate voltages beyond the range and fail to meet specifications.
